The Migration Department of the National Secretariat of Justice issued this morning the Ordinance No. 01, of March 25th 2020, suspending the procedural deadlines for administrative processes within its competence, due to the pandemic caused by COVID-19.
The practice of instructing legal acts will be maintained. However, the procedural deadlines are considered suspended from March 11th 2020 until the date on which the exceptional emergency situation established by the World Health Organization ceases.
The suspension of procedural deadlines does not apply to the processes of recognition of refugee status and others within the competence of the National Committee for Refugees.
