In line with the activities of the Federal Police, which extended until September 16, 2021 the deadline for immigration regularization of immigrants who have expired documents from March 16, 2020, the Substitute Director of the Department of Migration of the National Secretariat of Justice published the GAB-DEMIG Ordinance No. 2, of July 9, 2021.
This Ordinance establishes that in administrative proceedings under the competence of the Department of Migration, until September 16, 2021, documents expired after March 11, 2020 will be accepted, provided that the immigrant has remained in national territory, thus ensuring regularity and continuity of public services.
